Viaggio e Soggiorno

Getting to Tuscany

For our family and friends traveling from the U.S., we know this is a big trip, and we’re so grateful to have you there with us! Here’s what to expect when planning your journey to Conti di San Bonifacio in Tuscany.

Booking Your Flight
Most flights from the U.S. to Italy have 9-12 hours of flight time, typically with a layover in a major European city like London, Paris, or Frankfurt. The closest major airports are:

Florence (FLR) – ~2-hour drive to the venue
Rome (FCO) – ~2.5-hour drive to the venue
Milan (MXP) – ~4-hour drive to the venue
We recommend flying into Florence for the shortest drive, but Rome offers more direct flights and may be a better option depending on availability.

Getting to Tuscany
Once you land, here are your options to reach the venue:

Rental Car  (Recommended) – The most flexible option, allowing you to explore the Tuscan countryside at your own pace. Roads are well-maintained, and the drive is scenic.

Train  – From Rome or Milan, you can take a train to Grosseto, the closest station (~40 minutes from the venue). From there, you can rent a car or take a taxi.

Private Transfer – For a stress-free option, private car services can be arranged from Florence, Rome, or Grosseto directly to the venue.

Accomodations

We are so excited to welcome you to Tuscany for our wedding! Our venue, Conti di San Bonifacio, has only 12 rooms, which are reserved for the bride, groom, and immediate family. Below you’ll find a list of nearby accommodations recommended by our venue and planner. Many of these are agriturismos (farmhouse-style stays) rather than traditional hotels, which means guests will either need to drive or arrange a driver. This does not include Tuscan Townhouse, which will have complimentary transportation to and from wedding events!

Some properties don’t release availability until closer to a year out, but we encourage you to book early, as September is a busy season! Tuscan Townhouse is currently available to be booked for our wedding weekend.

Our recommended dates to book are September 24th (the day before the rehearsal dinner) to September 28th (the day after the pool party!).
